Day 31

1 Corinthians 12:4-7
Imagine the Influence… when we use our gifts to serve.

Read and Meditate

"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit.  And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord.  There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good." – 1 Corinthians 12:4-7

Reflect and Pray

At the moment of salvation, God blesses the believer with a spiritual gift or gifts. Without exception, every person who places his/her faith (trust) in Jesus for salvation, receives this or these spiritual blessing(s). There are many gifts and all are different in nature. The commonality in the gifts is from whom they are given…God. One gift is not more important than another, nor is one gift less important than another. They are all important because they are all to be used inside the body for the building up of the church. When these gifts are put into action, the church is healthy. When they are not, the church, as well as the world around us, suffers.

Pray that you would not be slack in using your gift(s) for the building up of the Church. Pray that we would keep in check a mentality that would have us believe one gift is better than another. When we use our gifts to serve, God grants us influence into a society that so desperately needs Him. Your gift(s) is more important to the Church than you can imagine!
