Story is the language of the heart. (John Eldredge, Epic.)
Did you ever wonder why Jesus taught so often with parables? Because stories are powerful in communicating eternal truth, slipping it past our barriers and carefully fortified defenses, planting it deeply in our hearts where it will take root, grow wildly and eventually produce fruit for everyone to see. It may take weeks, months, or years but you will see it eventually. For as the the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth... so will My Word be which goes forth from my mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:10-11, NASB)
In the drama ministry, we are in the storytelling business; every skit is telling His Story. You can join us! Do you love the spotlight? Do you love to build sets and make costumes? Do you write scripts or just have great ideas? Whatever it is you do, you can do it creatively and with passion so that someone can hear the Story. Don’t keep it to yourself! God is inviting you to join Him in telling His Story at Hope Baptist Church. Someone needs to hear it from you!
