True North Video Productions
the video ministry of Hope Baptist Church
Why "True North"? If you were to ask a room full of people to close their eyes and point in the direction that they think north is, when they opened their eyes, they would all be pointing in a hundred different directions! But which way is really north? Take out a compass and you'll find that no matter how turned around or lost you get, it always points to True North.
People are lost and confused these days, not about which way north is, but what is truth? Is there a God? Which religion is right -- or are any of them right? How can we know? So people just live their lives however it feels right to them. The Bible says "There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death." (Proverbs 16:25, NASB) Just like a compass, God has given us a sure way to know the Truth, the Bible. It always points to Jesus, no matter how lost or turned around we get!
True North Video exists to produce quality Christian content not only for Hope Baptist Church but for other Kingdom-minded churches, Christian organizations and ministries. Habakkuk 2: 2 says, "Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run." In those days, inscribing a message on a stone tablet was the means of mass communication. A messenger would take it from place to place and read it to the people. These days you could say, "Film it, put it on a DVD, put it on the internet, record it on a CD so that people can see it and hear it and experience how much God loves them." I like to think of it as Visual Missions!
Training
Noexperience? No problem! We offer a variety of training opportunities inall aspects of video production, from camera operation to video editingto DVD authoring.
Workshops and group training are held on a semi-regular basis. One-on-one training is available by appointment only.

Camera Operators Needed!
We are in need of camera operators to help videotape the Sunday messages for broadcast on the web and via podcast. No experience is necessary! We will train you. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a ministry that is literally taking the Gospel to the entire world from right here in Las Vegas. Weekly Messages
Each week we videotape the message, edit it and make it available on our resources page. We need camera operators and video editors to assist with this weekly service. Training is available.
Promotional Videos
Hope Baptist is filled with the activity of God. There is always something happening! True North Video produces short promotional videos to help keep our church family informed of what is happening at Hope.

Missions Videography
At Hope, missions isn't what we do, it's who we are. It's important to cast the vision of what God is doing all over the world to our people right here. We need missions-minded videographers to join our missions teams and capture all the excitement for those who can't go themselves.
Requirements: a video camera, a good eye, and a heart for the nations.

Worship Enhancing Videos
Another effective way to communicate the life-changing power of God through video is to tell a story that enhances the worship experience. It may be a video testimony of someone whose life has been changed by Christ, or a narrative that tells a story to illustrate an eternal truth of scripture.

Special Events
There's a saying here at True North: "It's all about the B-roll!" B-roll is the term for the alternate footage shot to intercut with the primary shots used in a program. It is commonly used to add dimension to a story.
We need volunteers to shoot B-roll at the many special events here at Hope Baptist. Whether it's an outreach with your Connection Group or taking video of kids at Vacation Bible School, we need B-roll and lots of it!
